  Join us for a social 15- 18 mile ride from Trinity Brewing and then stay to socialize and enjoy Trinity's delicious brunch options!  Champagne optional!

  How: No-Drop ride with occasional effort with full regroup. Front and rear lights required.

  Details: Join us for a 48 mile gravel ride to Elbert! This route includes a food stop at The Naked Goat Cafe which is at the halfway point. SoCo Velo did this ride last November & it took almost 6 hours so please plan accordingly. Due to the distance, we will have smaller groups breaking out. Please download map ahead of time. 

  This ride is open to members and first time guests (with signed waiver).  SOCO Velo has a 30-day trial membership if you would like check out our club and ride with us!

  RIDE OF SILENCE MULTI CLUB RIDE

  The annual Ride of Silence, hosted by Colorado Springs Cycling Club,  is an 8.5 mile ride that begins and ends at City Hall.

  On Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at 7:00 PM, the Ride of Silence will traverse and unite the globe as nothing before it. Cyclists will take to the roads in a silent procession to honor cyclists who have been killed or injured while cycling on public roadways, and to raise awareness that cyclists have a legal right to share the road with motorists.

  Location: The ride will begin and end at Colorado Springs City Hall. The schedule of events is:
  6:00 pm – Riders begin to arrive and sign waivers.
  6:45 pm – Welcoming remarks and the Ride of Silence poem is read.
  7:00 pm – Riders depart.
  8:00 pm – Riders begin to arrive back at City Hall.
  8:30 pm - All riders have returned to City Hall

  The ride is 8.5 miles long. We will ride at a speed of 8-10 mph. The max speed is 12 mph, and we will try to keep all the riders together so the lead riders will slow down at the front to avoid stringing out the line.

  Red Leg has restrooms and drinking fountains that you can use before the ride.

  Memorial Day Multi-Club Ride and Picnic

  When: 8:30 am ride and 11am picnic (rolling at 8:30, please arrive 15 minutes early for  safety briefing and to be checked in by ride leader)

  Where: Buffalo Lodge Bike Resort

  How: No-Drop ride with occasional effort and full regroup

  ROUTE: 20 miles led by Buffalo Lodge, 30 miles led by SOCO Velo, 40 miles led by COS Racing

  Details: Join us for our annual combined group ride from Buffalo Lodge with the Buffalo Lodge Bike Tribe and COS Racing.  We will have 3 distances/levels for all experience levels.  This is a social ride, no drop.  

  Afterwards we will gather with our families at Buffalo Lodge and enjoy a Memorial Day Lunch. There will be a food truck available for food purchases and the Lodge will have the bar open for beverage purchases.  You are also welcome to bring your own picnic! There will be music, laughter, and fun times to be had. 

  If you can, please consider biking to the event as parking is limited. If you need to drive to the event, please park in the Buffalo Lodge back parking lot.  Please do not park in front of any of the guest rooms. 

  This ride is open to members, friends, and family.  SOCO Velo has a 30-day trial membership if you would like check out our club and ride with us on other days!  After the ride, We invite and encourage all family members to join in the lunch portion of our Memorial Day Celebration.

  ROUTE: Decided at the time of the event to make the best selection. If using a GPS device, best to pre-load all routes ahead of time.

  Criterium has restrooms and drinking fountains that you can use before the ride. The Criterium mechanics are also there for last minute emergencies with your bike.  Front and rear lights required.

  We will be riding on quieter paved roads through Cascade and Green Mountain Falls before taking a gravel rod up to Joanie's Deli in Woodland Park. 

  This is a collaboration with Green Box Art Festival.
